Stoichiometry

Unit Overview: For students to learn the process and understand stoichiometry. They will understand how mole ratio relates to chemical equations. The students will be able to balance a chemical equation and then use the balanced equations to find amounts of certain chemical compounds.

Personal Achievement: What is something that you are proud of achieving for this unit?

In this unit,

Enduring Understanding: Explain what a chemical formula is and what is represents. (Make sure that you are talking about the ratio of the elements and what that means along with the percent mass).

A chemical formula is a set of symbols showing the elements present in a compound in their relative proportions. This is a part of stoichiometry, which is the relationship between the relative quantities of reactants and products within a chemical reaction.

Strengths/Weaknesses: For this unit, my strength is demonstrating the understanding of stoichiometry because it was really easy for me to understand what stoichiometry is and how it works. Because I was able to understand the main ideas quickly without confusions and demonstrate them well (like the quiz/poster above, which I aced), I don't think I have any weaknesses.
