Overview: In this semester, I've learned a lot of Spanish (vocabulary and grammar) and Spanish culture. For Spanish, I've learned about places, food/drinks, family, clothing, professions, body parts, adjectives, regular & irregular verbs, and much more. I've also researched about various Spanish speaking countries' cultures, their locations, etc. To end the semester, My classmates and I went to a dance school in the city and learned Salsa and 

 

Why is it important to learn new languages?

 

I think it is important to learn new languages because it opens us up to other cultures, and broadens our knowledge of the world and its people. It also gives us more opportunities in the future: if we know  a lot of languages, we would be sought for by more companies. I personally like to learn new languages because it's very interesting to learn about people from different societies and cultures, and it's also entertaining to use different languages daily (makes life more interesting for me).

 

Strenghths: Right at the beginning, I had no problems with reading, writing, articulating, and understanding Spanish. Therefore, I would say that those, along with demonstrating my knowledge visually, are my strengths for this class.

 

Weaknesses: The content I learned in this class are pretty simple to me, which is probably because my surrounding is very international so I tend to pick up on various cultures easily. Therefore, I didn't have any difficulties in this class.
